I craved for some light, summer romance and got what I wanted. It was uncomplicated, a bit predictable, light, funny read. No depth there, in storyline at least, and I see no reason for every book to have it. Sometimes this works best. Charactes were, amazingly, quite well developed. It held my interest from start to finish so, this book did it for me. But, I have to admit, sex in the office within a week between intern and her boss was a bit to much for me to swallow and not represent this issue in form of one star retraction. Other half is for grammatical errors. There were a few but quite big ones and repetitive. Better editing is advisable as I'm nowhere near native in English and it grated on my nerves.Tags : Amazon.com: His Banana (Objects of Attraction Book 1) eBook: Penelope Bloom: Kindle Store, ebook,Penelope Bloom,His Banana (Objects of Attraction Book 1),Fiction Romance Contemporary,Fiction Contemporary Women
His Banana Objects of Attraction Book 1 eBook Penelope Bloom Reviews
Of you need some light reading with humor and need a laugh than this book is for you.Natasha is a accident prone, highly unpredictable feisty firecracker reporter, who gets the worse assignments. Now she got her first brake, she infiltrated Galleon Enterprises to look for suspicion of corruption.Bruce Chamberson has his routine every day, exercise, breakfast, work, banana, lunch, work.Bruce and his twin brother William own the company, and are in control.Bruce has to hire an intern which he hated until he saw a young woman eating his banana which his name was written in black marker. He hired her to be his personal intern to punish her. What a punishment it wasn't.
This book was a too juvenile for my taste. It started out funny and wore our the premise pretty fast. After that it was...... well, juvenile. High school locker room or pre-teen pajama party humor. The second book by the author using the "cherry" word was no better. I prefer stories that "tell an intriguing story that makes you think, and smile, and feel." This started out silly and just ended up stupid. Like "how many different sentences can you write using the word 'banana'?" If this is what adult young women are reading, start packing your bags, ladies! This country is a mess and this book won't make anybody less of a mess!
This is a different kind of romance book. I haven’t read anything like it in terms of comedy. It was very funny. At times I was literally laughing out loud. However, it seemed a bit rushed. I gave it 3 stars because of the fact that some things were never explained and there wasn’t enough events leading up to some of the happenings which made it seem unrealistic. I did like how there wasn’t so much sex that you have to flip through the pages, it focuses more on the romance aspect. Though the scenes including sex were very premeditated and not necessarily interesting. It was more like “this happened, then this happened...” etc. Very funny book but I don’t think Ill be picking up the second one anytime soon.
Sorry. I envisioned a completely different story than the one I read. It wasn't funny or cute. It was written merely to house a couple of very vulgar sex scenes. It was poorly developed, both the story and the characters. I finished the book but it was like plodding through mud. Awful.
At 21% of the book, I abandoned ship. I suspect the rats left way ahead of me. Technically well-written long stretch of juvenile jokes, sexual innuendos and fantasies of a teen moron, plentitude of platitudes, and absolutely no depth of the main characters. Meant to be entertaining but really very tedious.
This is an extremely dumb book. You know what is going to happen by the end of the first chapter. The characters are ridiculous and even the sex scenes are stupid. Don’t waste your money.
This is the fourth book I've read this month in the rom com/romance genre. I loved how the writing was. It was easy to read and some humor in it. My only criticism is the kind of female heroine which has been almost the same in all of the 4 books from different authors.
As personal as a review is, I believe the reason for turning to these kind of books for us, the readers, are most likely very similar/shared.
I could not help but criticize the fact that any girl who is as "hot" as Natasha with that kind of a body would not have the hardest time having a very good looking guy's attention/attraction.
If honesty, authenticity and inner beauty is trying to be emphasized by the author, why on every other ten page the reader ends up being reminded of the female heroine's rock hard/well taken care of/hot/sexy/goddess like qualities?
I'm reading these kind of books lately to find some encouragement or access to silly dreams and hopes I once had before a 10 year narcissistic abuse. I'm also reading whatever I can find which is reviewed to have humor and laugh-out-loud parts in them. But for some reason I ended up feeling more self-conscious and depleted after this book.
